Are my goods insured?
No. You must take out insurance if you want your goods to be covered. Insurance is from as little as $5 per month and can be arranged at the time of move in.
Can I get Insurance?
Yes. We offer insurance. Our site is of a standard that is acceptable to the major insurance companies.
Will my home and contents insurance cover things in storage?
Some of the major companies will extend home and contents insurance by arrangement but may have a limit on the time they will cover your goods while in transit or in storage. Check with your insurance company to see what their policy is.
What is the minimum period I can store my goods for?
Traditionally the minimum period is 1 month, however, a shorter period can be arranged in certain circumstances.
Can I get a discount for long-term storage?
Yes. We give discounts for payments 3, 6 or 12 months in advance.
How much space will I need?
The actual amount of space you need will depend on the type of goods you have, how accessible you want them to be and the way you fill your space. Our storage-space-estimator is designed to help you easily estimate how much storage space you will need.
How far in advance should I book my space?
It is advisable to book as far as a month in advance if possible. We can make bookings close to the time storage is required, but often we have limited availability and therefore cannot guarantee we will have the right size available for you. Please contact our friendly staff to check availability.
Do I have to sign anything?
Yes. We use the standard Self Storage Association Agreement. A booking includes $50 deposit, one months rent in advance and a valid contract.
When can I have access?
Access is by individual pin number from 6am to 9pm – 7 days a week. This can be extended by arrangement during the initial move in period but for security reasons once you have moved in we will revert the access hours back to standard.
How do I get my goods into storage?
We have FREE trailers for use when moving in. If you bring your own goods you can drive to our doorway and unload in comfort in our all weather undercover loading area.
What can I store?
You can store anything you like as long as it is not dangerous, illegal, highly inflammable, perishable, precious or alive!
What sort of security does Storageland provide?
We have a manager on-site during our operating hours. When we are closed, we provide a combination of pin controlled access, video cameras, security alarms, security patrols, security fencing.
Can I access my unit outside hours?
Our offices are manned Mon-Fri 8.00 a.m. – 5.00p.m and Sat 8.00-11.30 a.m. We offer outside hours access 6.00a.m- 9.00p.m. daily. We believe your goods are more secure by not offering 24 hour access.
Are my goods safe and secure if they are accessible out of office hours?
Each customer in this area has their own unique code to give them access to the after hours area. Each entry and exit is recorded and access is under security surveillance.
Does Storageland have access to my unit?
No we don’t. By locking the unit with your own padlock (you can purchase one from us) you lock the door, you keep the key and you are the only one who has access to the unit.
Can you accept deliveries on my behalf?
Yes! We can sign and accept deliveries on behalf of you or your company. We can also hold goods awaiting collection from couriers for your convenience.
How can I pay?
Cash, Bank Deposit or by EFTPOS. We accept Master Card VISA Bank card and EFTPOS cards. Refunds are by cheque only.
Do I pay rent weekly or monthly?
Rentals are paid monthly in advance.
Can I get packaging supplies from Storageland?
Yes. We sell a number of different sized boxes, bubble wrap, packing paper, packing tape, mattress and lounge protectors. We offer a 15% discount on all merchandise when you reserve a storage unit with us.
